Trabajo Social Hoy is a scientific journal published every four months. The issues are published in January, May and December of each year. The journal uses a pre-established structure for its contents, by which the articles are categorized into three sections: a dossier devoted to a specific subject area, a section for articles of professional interest and another focused on professional intervention.

During the first six months after publication of the journal, access to its contents is available only to subscribers and to professionals who are members of the Professional Association of Social Workers of Madrid.

Trabajo Social Hoy wishes to contribute to the initiatives fomenting open access to scientific information that are currently under consideration around the world, while at the same time respecting current copyright laws. When the journal began publishing in digital format, it took on the commitment of allowing universal dissemination of the contents published.
